Laborer
A Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment. Assists with set-ups, retrieving products and materials, supplying labor or tools, shipping or packing finished goods and the maintenance of related records are generated by utilizing standard machinery, materials, tools, equipment, procedures and ISO/AS work instructions, assuring adherence to quality and continuous improvement standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that safety policies, housekeeping rules and guidelines, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.
Variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various sites which may include but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, glazier, masonry, and painting tasks;
Performs minor troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments of doors, lighting, closets; repairs door hinges.
Changes filters on machinery, heating, ventilating and air conditioning units; reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for action
Measure and examine completed work to verify conformance to specifications.
Maintains tools, gauges and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
Ensure ongoing compliance with provincial standards and legislation.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
Basic Maintenance Knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
Ability to commute/relocate:
Pomfret Center, CT 06259: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
