Plano, TX | 8 - 19 years of experience
- Deep knowledge in storage DASD and z/OS (200 ISV products)
- Perform schedule backup for all files including z/OS system data, master and user catalogs
- Perform routine backups with the help of Buyer s backup tools on a schedule approved by the Buyer
- Monitor the backup jobs for successful completion
- Schedule and perform restore test to verify backup data integrity
- Maintain z/OS backup process, also identify and enhance the procedures
- Update the Mainframe Backup and Recovery documentation when there are changes to the backup system
- Co-ordinate with application and business teams to maintain and update retention periods as required by the Buyer s business teams
- Define Storage tiering according to customers requirement
- Storage Catalog management
- Provide DASD and tape allocation support
- Administer and configure the storage parameters and ACS routine management
- Provide support for restoration of datasets, new volume addition and increasing scratch tape count when required
