Job Description
Customer is currently developing the Residential Mortgage Whole Loan Trading initiative, under this initiative, we will purchase closed, fully funded residential mortgage loans from third-party mortgage originators, with the intent of subsequently selling the mortgages within 3 to 9 months for a profit.
Experience in this Loan Products required. Tasks : Define the accounting classifications and regulatory capital methodologies for the Whole Loan Trading scenarios.
Define and implement reporting requirements to facilitate the generation of the accounting. regulatory capital calculations as well as the associated reporting to regulators.
Help to define the GL accounts / cost centers for Whole Loan Sales and Securitizations. - Identify data needs (reporting & reconciliations) all risk and operational areas. Getting information from Accounting System (Cumbre) and translated into Cargabal new data model.
Help to define reporting requirements for all accounting classifications and RWA methodology scenarios, including data elements required, format and timelines.
Skills (Must Have's)
Contrasted experience in US Gaap. Experience in Accounting related to Mortgage Loans (Whole Loan or Warehouse Lending).
Regulatory Capital Treatment. Knowledge in Accounting Business Classifications (Held to Collect, Held to Collect & Sell, Fair Value).
Knowledge of an Accounting General Ledger System
Industry Certification is a MUST. Our client requires all the employees working on this engagement to be COVID-19 vaccinated.
