Monmouth Crossing has an employment opportunity available for a Director of Nursing (DON). 

  • The Interim DON position is a temporary position available for a period of up to 6 months.  It will end upon hire of the permanent DON.
  • The duties of this interim position can be completed by one individual or split among several team members, depending on the skills and availability of the applicants.
  • All interested applicants must receive approval from their current manager to temporarily vacate their existing role, ensuring a seamless transition.

Responsibilities

  • Provides considerate respectful care focused upon the Residents' individual needs.
  • Affirms the Resident's right to make decisions regarding his/her medical care, including the decision to discontinue treatment, to the extent permitted by law.
  • Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the needs of the age of the Residents cared for.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the range of care needed based on the age of the Residents cared for.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of growth, development and/or adult health throughout the life span as appropriate to the job performed.
  • Successfully completes life-span education as appropriate.
  • Establishes and implements standards of care and evaluates resident care through the application of the nursing process and compares the delivery of the care to the established standard(s).
  • Plans and facilitates unit based education to maintain and enhance the clinical competency of the nursing staff.
  • Establishes and implements standards of care regarding pain management of Residents as it relates to assessments, interventions, follow-up, reassessment and education to resident/family.
  • Provides on-going effective communication with residents/families, other departments, physicians and off-site providers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required, Master's Degree Preferred. 
  • Critical care experience, clinical cardiology, interventional radiology, Perioperative or closely related field for at least 3 years.
  • Current endovascular/cardiac catheterization experience required or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
  • Specialty Certification preferred, CCRN or RCIS
  • RN License / New Jersey Required
  • ACLS Required
  • BLS Certification Required
  • IV Certification Required
  • Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
