What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caseworker 2 - CYS position at Centre County, Pennsylvania?
- Conducts intake and preliminary interviews to determine needs of clients/families.
- Provides support to assigned group of individuals.
- Conducts counseling sessions as needed.
- Investigates allegations, provides advocacy, and assesses degree of risk to client.
- Develops and implements case plans for client based on needs.
- Provides for necessary arrangements according to client’s needs; contacts other community services/agencies as necessary.
- Arranges transportation for clients’ appointments.
- Testifies in court if necessary regarding clients’ needs.
- Maintains accurate documentation and records on clients and their progress.
- Prepares required reports as mandated by federal, state, or County policies and procedures.
- Makes home visits to clients as necessary.
- Performs emergency on-call duty.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in social services; psychology or related field which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences. Required Experience: One to two (1-2) years experience in field of case management or social work; OR one (1) year of experience as a Caseworker 1.
Special Requirements
Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and a willingness to travel as needed. Must obtain all required clearances including: Childline, FBI, and State Police. Applications can be emailed to humanresources@centrecountypa.gov
