What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodial Team Lead position at Centre County, Pennsylvania?
- Performs rounds on cleaning staff in assigned buildings during shift and reports back to the Custodial Supervisor or the Chief Risk Officer if any issues occur.
- Cleaning duties as assigned:
- * Collects and properly disposes of trash, garbage, and recyclables.
- * Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and scrubs floors.
- * Cleans furniture, bathrooms, windows, walls, and fixtures.
- * Operates and maintains commercial cleaning equipment.
- * Unloads and moves custodial supplies to designated locations.
- * Completes and submits weekly checklists of accomplished tasks to immediate supervisor.
- Mentors new staff as needed.
- Reports the supply usage at assigned building.
- Arranges the laundering of cleaning materials for assigned buildings.
- Handles minor issues that occur during shift. (i.e.: cleaning equipment issues, building malfunctions)
- Actively participates in custodial trainings.
- Operates cleaning equipment as needed.
- Provides cleaning coverage during absences as needed.
- Performs other job related duties as required.
Qualifications
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience: Two (2) years working experience in a custodial environment. Other Requirements: Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and a willingness to travel as needed.
