What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodial Worker (2 Positions Available) position at Centre County, Pennsylvania?
- Collects and properly disposes of trash, garbage, and recyclables.
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and scrubs floors.
- Cleans furniture, bathrooms, windows, walls, and fixtures.
- Operates and maintains commercial cleaning equipment.
- Unloads and moves custodial supplies to designated locations.
- Ensures that all cleaning supplies and paper goods are adequately stocked.
- Completes and submits weekly checklists of accomplished tasks to immediate supervisor.
- Actively participates in custodial trainings.
- Assists with setting up areas for meetings/events.
- Assists in securing buildings and assuring that windows and doors are properly secured.
- Reports major problems or breakdowns to Team Lead, Cleaning Supervisor or Chief Risk Officer.
- Performs other job related duties as required.
Qualifications
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience: Six to twelve (6-12) months working experience in custodial environment preferred. Other Requirements: Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and a willingness to travel as needed.
