Job Overview
The Medical Clinic Manager leads the medical services team (staff and volunteers) and is responsible for the administrative oversight of the medical, case management, behavioral health and medication assistance programs.
Duties
Clinical Operations
1. Oversee direct reports to include staff (3 PT) and volunteer nurses, point of care lab staff (1 PT), clinical support coordinator (1 FT), medication distribution staff (1 FT, 1PT), case management (1 FT, 1 PT), behavioral health (1 FT) and volunteer physician/PA/NPs
2. Oversee the development and implementation of standardized clinical protocols and procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality care
3. Collaborate with the clinic staff and volunteers to continuously improve operational efficiency, patient flow, and to ensure high-quality care provision to include potential waitlists, number of appointments etc.
4. Assist medical team in the decision making process regarding complicated, multi-faceted patient, eligibility/patient star system, equipment and operational issues
5. Oversee medical clinic and lab supply ordering and approve invoices for payment
6. Point of contact for Geisinger and PSU medical students to include on-boarding, scheduling, evaluations
7. Follow up with medical providers regarding unsigned items in the EHR and conduct chart reviews
8. Recruit, on-board, train and manage assigned volunteer medical providers to include tracking volunteer hours
Experience
1. Related experience in serving underserved populations and understanding of diverse patient demographics
2. Proven leadership skills and ability to lead highly effective teams
3. Experienced RN with active PA License
4. At least three years of management experience
5. Understanding of healthcare facility operation and care provision (preference for nonprofit or free clinic experience)
6. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts
No weekends, evening/nights, or holidays required
