Private Duty Home Health Aide

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to assist a 49-year-old male client with daily living activities. The client has Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), which can cause pain and swelling in his legs, as well as vision deficits due to a past motor vehicle accident.

Location: DeWitt, MI (20 minutes outside of Lansing)

Shifts Needed: Mondays & Tuesdays, 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Position Type: Part-time

Pay: Based on experience

Duties Include

✅ Fall prevention & mobility assistance

✅ Transportation to social group on Mondays & bowling on Tuesdays

✅ Meal preparation

✅ Light housekeeping (laundry, dishes)

Requirements

✔️ Must have reliable transportation

✔️ Open to male or female caregivers

✔️ Previous Experience In Caregiving Preferred, But Not Required

✔️ Patience, reliability, and a friendly demeanor

Our hiring requirements include: CPR, TB, Valid Driver's License and current auto insurance policy with your name listed on the policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties outlined in patient's plan of care
• Monitor patient condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise
• Observe the client’s physical, mental, and emotional conditions/ document and record changes in the patient condition
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment
• Assist with daily living activities, such as dressing or taking a bath
• Adhere to professional standards, facility care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements
  
  

Skill Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to utilize computers/tablets and computer software
• Strong patient service skills
• Attention to detail and ability to carefully follow protocols and rules regarding the patient's care
• Ability to address minor medical issues
  
  

Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Valid CPR Certification
• Background Check
• Negative TB test results
