Private Duty Nurse (RN / LPN) – 24 / 7 Care – Kalamazoo, MI

Location : Kalamazoo, MI

Start Date : Early March

Shifts : Full-time, Part-time, and PRN shifts available (24 / 7 coverage needed)

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide private duty nursing for a kind and soft-spoken woman transitioning home from Mary Freebed to her residence in Kalamazoo. She requires 24 / 7 skilled nursing care along with 24 / 7 attendant care , with an aide on shift alongside the nurse for additional support.

Responsibilities :

Provide skilled nursing care in a home setting

Monitor and manage medical needs, medications, and therapies

Work collaboratively with a dedicated aide on shift

Ensure comfort, dignity, and safety in her home environment

Communicate with family and medical professionals as needed

Qualifications :

Active RN or LPN license in Michigan

Experience in home health, private duty nursing, or rehabilitation care preferred

Strong clinical skills , including medication management, wound care, and mobility assistance

Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Perform duties outlined in patient's plan of care

TBI SCI rehabilitation

Adult / Pediatrics

Ventilator and Tracheotomy care (Training Provided)

Gastrostomy tube care (Training Provided)

Dispensing medications

Observe client's physical, mental and emotional conditions.

Report any changes

Document observed changes

Communicates effectively with Clinical team to increase optimal outcomes

Maintains professional nature within the home setting

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to utilize computers / tablets and computer software

Current state license as an RN or LPN

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Current negative TB skin test or negative chest X-ray

CPR certified
