What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Setup Specialist And Driver position at Centric Events & Rentals?
Centric Events & Rentals in Phoenix, AZ is looking for one event setup specialist & driver to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and hard-working. Our organization has two divisions: weddings and social event rentals, and A/V production. This position will generally be working with the wedding and social event rentals division team.

Responsibilities
- Driving large box trucks and/or trailers.
- Participating in setups and strikes at event venues & client homes.
- Installation of event furnishings in both indoor and outdoor events including but not limited to event furniture, staging, dance floors, kitchen equipment, lighting and draping.
- Communicate with clients and team members in a professional manner.
- Loading and unloading trucks at the warehouse and on job sites and ensuring items are accounted for during delivery and pick- ups.
- Stacking, cleaning, organizing inventory items when not loading, unloading or working on an event.
Qualifications
- Ability to execute consecutive events while handling the associated stresses and challenges of meeting deadlines
- Open availability including weekends and overtime as needed to meet the needs of the business.
- Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 50-100 lbs.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in ranging temperatures and weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Experience driving pickup trucks, vans, and box trucks.
Candidate Bonuses (But not requirements)
- at least one year of event setup and strike experience.
- Hospitality or customer service related experience.
- Wedding or Production experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot on the fly at events.
