Your Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Legal support for Centric Software’s rapidly growing sales team, primarily in the Americas, where you will structure, draft and negotiate Centric’s in-bound (Vendor) agreements, for purchases such as technology (Software License Agreements, Cloud/SaaS Agreements, OEMs/collaboration agreements)
- Negotiate a variety of other agreements, including NDAs and Customer agreements
- Contribute in the development and roll-out of legal enablement,
- Assist with collections matters and commercial disputes
- Lead and/or collaborate on team initiatives, such as Compliance, Privacy, etc
- Keep up to date on latest developments in laws, regulations and industry trends applicable to software as a service, hosted services, on-premise software, mobile applications, and product lifecycle management, including data protection laws, consumer protection laws, anti-corruption regulations, anti-trust laws, and other guidance from relevant agencies and advise business teams of applicable risks
- Contribute to the transformation of the legal department’s journey to becoming a world class legal function by working on initiatives such as creating accessible and understandable legal documents, implementing contract automation (including implementation of our new contracts management system), processes and tools, privacy compliance and other initiatives
- You have at least 5 years of transactional legal experience with an emphasis on contract negotiations, at a law firm and/or in-house
- You demonstrate strong attention to detail and pride yourself on providing high quality work
- You are able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet demanding deadlines without sacrificing quality in a multi-cultural, diverse and high-paced environment
- You are self-motivated and can work autonomously, but know when to escalate issues and be thoughtful in asking questions
- You possess a pragmatic and business-oriented approach to problem solving and the flexibility to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to listen, and you don’t take yourself too seriously
- You have excellent written & oral communication skills.
- J.D Degree and a state bar member in good standing
