ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
|
- Abide by GCP, SOPs, company guidelines, and local healthcare privacy regulations
- Maintain professional relationships with study participants, physicians, industry representatives and vendors of trial management
- Perform and evaluate routine and specialized overnight polysomnograms (PSGs), MWTs, and occasionally Multiple Seep Latency Tests (MSLTs) during day
- Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures, attaching sensors and electrodes, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process
- Continuously monitor patients’ sleep patterns, vital signs, and responses to interventions during the sleep study, making real time adjustments as necessary
- Perform research studies per protocol which may include full EEGs (10/20 cranial measurement system) ensuring they adhere to relevant regulations and standards, such as those established by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) along with the Sponsor requirements
- Be proficient in using all equipment required to run a validated PSG (polysomnography)
- Be proficient in reading and troubleshooting EEGs
- Be proficient in reading and troubleshooting ECGs
- Be proficient in reading and troubleshooting all plethysmography equipment
- Be proficient in reading and troubleshooting dedicated PSG software(s)
- Be medically trained to assess patients in critical/life threatening medical events and respond appropriately
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including study documentation on required Sponsor forms
- Must have flexible schedule to accommodate protocol visit window requirements
- Complete required training to become familiar with various platforms used and protocol requirements
- Safety, Security, and Health: Cleans and disinfects equipment placed directly on patients
- Monitors for adverse events in patients and acts accordingly and per protocol
- Abide by HIPAA regulations under federal privacy regulations
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
|
- Minimum: unregistered sleep technician
- Preferred: registered sleep tech (RPSGT or RST), experience with Alice system
|

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
|
- Physical demands include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, light lifting, standing, reaching, walking, and bending.
- Frequently required to complete work on the computer in a seated position.
- May be required to lift light boxes (10 - 20lbs)

WORKING CONDITIONS
|
- Modern medical office environment or home office environment
- Required to follow OSHA and CCOHS guidelines, in addition to other local healthcare regulations.
- Required to perform duties in relation to HIPAA, PIDEDA, and other local privacy regulations.
- Some positions may require overnight/weekend hours
