Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and seat guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, optimizing table turnover
- Provide guests with menus, offer recommendations, and take accurate takeout orders
- Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle phone inquiries with excellent etiquette and assist with guest inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and lobby area
- Assist in upholding food safety standards and hygiene protocols
Experience:
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
