Compensation: $46,350 per year
Location: 1110 N Adair St. Cornelius, OR 97113

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Working as an essential member of the Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance (ER&UA) program team, the ER&UA Specialist interviews potential clients for eligibility, registers clients to the ER&UA caseload, collects data, creates reports, and maintains program files for ER&UA. This is a fast-paced position, and the ER&UA specialist needs to be able to manage pressure and quick turnarounds. The ER&UA specialist reports to the ER&UA manager.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide general information, application forms, and declaration forms to applicants.
- Explain policies, procedures, and requirements to applicants to apprise them of their rights and responsibilities.
- Perform initial application interviews for public assistance programs and services.
- Ensure accuracy and completion of application and declaration forms.
- Interview applicants to gather and verify information and then accurately input the collected data into an automated computer system.
- Schedule applicants in need of immediate services to appropriate resources.
- Perform additional tasks related to case records.
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Bilingual Spanish-English, with the ability to translate documents, agendas, and other materials as needed
- High school, GED, or, Bachelors’ encourage for this position
- Complete Background Check
- Ability to travel out of town to attend workshops or trainings
- Frequent evening and weekend work, primarily for outreach and community events
- Maintain and adhere to all Federal, State, and County regulations regarding client confidentiality, specifically 45 CFR-Part 160 and HIPAA.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is approximately 90% in an office environment and 10% in community locations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will:
- Engage in regular communication in person as well as through electronic means
- Routinely use computer laptops, tablets, desk phones, photocopiers, and monitors, including digital screens
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Physically set up and break down space for use, such as setting up chairs and tables. Pack cars with items for outreach. Pack, load, and unload food boxes.
