THE PROGRAM
Centro La Familia Advocacy Services (CLFA) is seeking a qualified candidate to oversee services at its 93726 Neighborhood Resource Center. The NRC provides direct services and education to families with the goal of reducing the risk of child abuse/neglect, increasing family safety, and strengthen the family by building coping strategies and encouraging a state of wellbeing that allows the individual and/or family to function in challenging circumstances. The NRC targets families in the 93726-zip code and surrounding areas. It is funded by the Fresno County Department of Social Services.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
NRC Site Director will plan, implement, and oversee services at CLFA’s 93726 NRC. The NRC provides services to community members who reside in zip code 93726 and surrounding areas that focus on direct services, parent education, linkages, and community education. The NRC Site Director will work with its staff to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively. This includes coordinating services, implementing groups activities and community trainings, client file review activities, tracking program deliverables and outcomes, participating in meetings/trainings, data entry and tracking, case management, and meeting reporting outcomes. The NRC Site Director reports to the Executive Director.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and oversees all service delivery at 93726 NRC Site.
- Works closely with NRC staff: family advocate/intake specialist, and parent educator.
- Ability to work with families/monolingual Spanish.
- Oversees coordination of direct services to clients, parent education classes, and all other services.
- Ensures reception area is continually covered by staff including phones and greeting walk-ins.
- Ensures clients are tracked through intake/assessments and case management.
- Conducts data entry and ensures case files follow CLFA’s case management process.
- Ensures assessments and logs are tracked efficiently.
- Facilitates biweekly meetings with staff for case review, program deliverables, and address challenges.
- Ensures parent education classes are carried out and deliverables are met.
- Coordinates, facilitates and tracks support groups for families and children.
- Coordinates trainings for community, encouraging families to participate in and learn basic life skills such as money management, cooking, self-advocacy and other topics.
- Conducts outreach and education to make community aware of NRC and services.
- Hosts various events at NRC in coordination with CLFA Executive Director and CLFA management.
- Maintains ongoing communication with Executive Director sharing updates, progress, challenges, and more.
- Conducts home visits as needed.
- Makes appropriate referrals for other family support/counseling services as appropriate.
- Aware of NRC deliverables, requirements, and outcomes.
- Meets all reporting requirements.
- Participates in meetings and trainings internally and externally as required by CLFA, funder, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BA/BS Degree in Human Services, Public Health, Social Services or related field
- Three years of experience in a community-based human service agency, and experience in the organization, management and administration of agency programs.
- Must possess excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow-through, and be detail-oriented
- Must be organized, professional, and able to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment
- Must be proficient in the use of technology to collect, analyze and manage program data as well as computer literate in Windows platform; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Applications
- Must possess the ability to maintain good recordkeeping and documentation, good presentation skills, and have the capacity to be self-motivated
- Experience working in community outreach, and/or education programs preferred
- Bilingual a plus
- Access to a telephone, computer, and reliable internet connection
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Express, as well as data entry
- Ability to comply with regulations and communicate official information in an appropriate manner
- Department of Justice fingerprint clearance
- Valid CA driver’s license and auto insurance
- Satisfactorily complete comprehensive training delivered by COVID-19 Equity Project partners during onboarding and will be responsible for assisting in the training of staff and volunteers as needed
- Attend mandatory training as part of their orientation and onboarding and will comply with state and federal regulatory requirements related to protected health information and privacy

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: The office setting is a normal environment. Occasionally work during early morning, evening, or weekend. May me subject to temperature variances outdoor during events.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, or walking for up to eight hours a day. Some bending, stretching, or reaching may be necessary. Lifting to 40 pounds may be required on occasion. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contact.
