What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Maintenance position at Centrum Valley Farms?
Job Summary:
The Building & Grounds Maintenance staff is responsible for ensuring that the exterior of the complex is well-maintained.
Essential Job Functions:
- Snow and ice removal
- Picking up and disposing of bird mortality using farm equipment
- General landscaping, including road and areas between barns
- Moving and grading rock
- Irrigation system operation
- Minor vehicle maintenance (check oil, change tires, etc.)
- Maintain and fill bio-security stations (power washers)
- Assist with bale staging
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License
Preferred Skills: Bilingual
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Effective communication (written/verbal) skills.
- Must be able to perform all job duties of the position.
- Must be able to reach, bend, twist, and lift above the head.
- Must be able to work in various climate conditions.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Compensation: 21.50
