Sanitation

Job Summary:

As a Sanitation Worker, you will provide general operational and downtime sanitation in our processing plants. Must be available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Will be involved in activities that include handling of chemicals, use of high-pressure water, bending, kneeling and lifting up to 50lbs.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist Processing in the packaging and stacking of eggs
• Clean Processing machine and area using proper lock out / tag out procedures.
• Responsible for daily and downtime sanitation
• Transport line waste to dump disposal area
• Use approved chemicals to sanitize areas
• Use high pressure and high volume water hoses to clean surfaces
• Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and belts
• Cleaning floors, walls, other areas as needed
• Clean all product pipes
• Pre-flight equipment after reassembly
• General sweeping and cleaning of floors, counter tops and bathrooms
• Sanitize drains
• Monitoring water consumption
• Other cleaning and sanitizing duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by the employer
• Must observe all safety and security procedures; Report potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.
• Willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the employer's safety policies and rules; Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.
