Job Details:
- Shift: 12hr Nights; 7p-7:30a
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2160 $2448
Job Summary:
The PCU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality, critical patient care in a fast-paced progressive care unit. The RN will assess patients' needs, implement nursing care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, including vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
- Administer medications, IV drips, and IV contrast as required.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure patient safety and follow infection control protocols.
- Recognize and respond to medical emergencies.
- Document patient care accurately in EMR.
- Provide patient and family education on disease management.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Experience:
- Critical Care Experience: Preferred.
- Travel Nursing Experience: Must have completed at least one successful traveler assignment. New travelers will not be considered.
License & Certification:
Required:
- Current NYS RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- IV & IV contrast certification
Preferred:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Must Obtain Within 6 Months:
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- Basic lethal dysrhythmia certification
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 60-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
