Job Details:
- Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $840 - $945
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and traction.
- Monitor and document patient progress, including response to treatment and any changes in condition.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility policies while maintaining a clean and organized treatment area.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records and documentation as per facility guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.
- Experience in hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health settings is beneficial.
- Familiarity with rehabilitation techniques for orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, and pediatric patients is preferred.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adjust treatment plans as needed.
Education, License & Certification Requirements:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (required).
- CPR/BLS certification.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
