Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily nursing operations within the unit, ensuring adherence to care standards, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance, education, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee patient care plans, assess patient conditions, and provide direct nursing care as needed.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
- Address patient and family concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Prepare reports and documentation for patient care, unit performance, and regulatory purposes.
- Develop and implement staff schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and administrative personnel.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [NC].
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., JCAHO).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare software systems.
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS, BLS, or specialty certifications.
- Experience (e.g., ICU, Geriatrics, Surgical Unit).
