We are seeking a MS/Tele Float Nurse (Nursing) for a travel/contract position in NY. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.
Location: Utica, NY 13502
Pay Rate: $60 - $63/hr
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours
Shift: Day
"Your pay is based on whether you are in a local or travel position. A travel position is defined as residing more than 75 miles from the facility."
Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in Medical-Surgical (MS) and Telemetry (Tele) units. Float between units as needed, ensuring safe and effective care delivery, patient monitoring, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to patients in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, EKG rhythms, and other telemetry data.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient progress accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Float between MS/Tele units based on staffing needs while maintaining care standards.
Qualifications:
- NY LICENSE IN HAND REQUIRED
- 2 years experience -Med Surg
- BLS, ACLS and NIH certifications (required).
- Strong adaptability and ability to float between units.
- EMR: Epic Required
