We are seeking a (Neuropsychologist) for a travel/contract position in DE. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.
Location: New Castle County, DE
Payrate: $85/hr
Duration: Long-term temporary position
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Neuropsychologist to complete neuropsychological evaluations for children and youths. The neuropsychologist will assess and diagnose children and youths with neurobehavioral issues related to acquired or developmental disorders, including but not limited to learning disabilities with developmental or organic bases. The primary responsibility is to provide detailed neuropsychological reports, including clinical formulation, diagnosis, and appropriate treatment recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with the child/youth, parent/guardian, and involved treatment or educational staff.
- Assess various neuropsychological domains, including intelligence, academic ability, attention, concentration, sensorimotor function, language, learning, and memory.
- Produce written, detailed clinical neuropsychological reports based on psychological/neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct observations, records, and interviews.
- Provide a clear clinical formulation, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations.
Position Requirements:
- Licensure: Delaware licensed or license-eligible in Neuropsychology.
- Certification: Must possess certification in Neuropsychology.
- Education: Preference for candidates who have graduated from an APA-accredited program, completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship, and a postdoctoral position in neuropsychology.
Work Schedule:
- Evaluations: 1-2 evaluations per month, requiring approximately 25-50 hours per month.
- Availability: Must be available 1-2 office days per month for in-person evaluations.
- Location: Primary need in New Castle County, Delaware, with potential travel to Kent & Sussex counties.
Additional Information:
- Evaluations are scheduled based on the convenience of the youth and family.
- A significant increase in referrals from Sussex County has been noted, so flexibility to travel within Delaware is highly desirable.
