We are seeking a [Laboratory Technologist] for a travel / contract position in NY. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.

Location : Norwich, NY 13815

Payrate : $56 / hour

Contract Length : 13 week contract

Work Schedule & Details :

  • Shift : 8-hour Nights (Sunday Thursday).
  • Hours : 40 hours per week .
  • Locals Accepted : Candidates within 50 miles will be considered at local pay rates.

Position Overview :

The Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing complex laboratory procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires expertise in clinical testing, quality control, and laboratory instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct laboratory tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank using advanced techniques.
  • Perform testing using VITROS Chemistry analyzers and Ortho MTS Gel method in Blood Bank.
  • Utilize EPIC for documentation and reporting of laboratory results.
  • Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laboratory standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols .
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic support.

    • Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
  • Grandfathered NYS Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist (if applicable).
  • One (1) year of experience working in a clinical laboratory.

    • License & Certification :

  • NYS Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist (Required).
  • ASCP Specialty Certification

    • Skills & Proficiency :

  • Experience with Blood Bank testing using Ortho MTS Gel .
  • Knowledge of Chemistry with VITROS analyzers .
  • Proficiency in EPIC laboratory systems .
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
