Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty : Interventional Radiology
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Day - 10x4 - Variable schedule (7 AM - 5 : 30 PM) 4 days per week, plus on-call shifts
Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week
Experience :
- One year preferred
- Experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) RN, Cath Lab, or Critical Care (ICU) RN required
License :
State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact is requiredCertifications :
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) requiredAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) requiredMust-Have :

Assess patient physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records, and clinical data.Evaluate patient response and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcome.Develop and implement patient care plans and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.Demonstrate competency in therapeutic / diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect patient health, safety, and rights.Provide patient / family education and evaluate teaching effectiveness.Engage patients as full partners in compassionate, coordinated care based on respect for preferences, values, and needs.Provide relationship-based care, respecting cultural differences and the diversity of human experiences.Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel per State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.Utilize resources effectively to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care.Serve as a professional role model for ethical / legal / professional nursing processes.Manage resources and patient flow by matching competencies with patient and unit needs.Use standards of care, hospital policies / procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice.Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams to achieve quality patient care.Precept and mentor new staff or nursing students as needed.Pursue continuing education and learning opportunities to maintain clinical practice skills.Maintain professional records demonstrating competency and lifelong learning.Evaluate personal integrity and nursing practice against professional standards and regulations.Demonstrate commitment to the organization through ongoing participation in hospital and unit meetings.Understand the value of measurement and the importance of continuous quality improvement data.Use quality measures to improve patient outcomes, experiences, and care delivery safety.Participate in unit-based quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research activities.Use current healthcare research findings to expand clinical knowledge and enhance role performance.Weekend Requirements : On-call every 7th weekend
On-Call Requirements : Yes, 1 night per week and every 7th weekend
Float Requirements : Floating may be required to any location within sixty miles of the original assignment location or determined float zone, which may include duties outside of original job requirements.
