Job Title : RN Float Pool

Shift : 12-hour night shift, 3 times a week
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Experience : Minimum of one year experience preferred. Nursing skills and knowledge specific to specialty.
License : State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the Nursing Licensure Compact.
Certifications :
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification
Must-Have : Patient care experience, EPIC proficiency
Job Description :
Assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient / family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.Promote optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records, and clinical data.Evaluate patients' responses and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Develop and implement patient care plans and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic / diagnostic interventions, including but not limited to IVs, incision / wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient.Provide patient and family education through assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability; provide teaching and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.Recognize the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care, based on respect for the patient's preferences, values, and needs.Provide relationship-based care, where the nurse strives to understand what is most important to the individual and actively engages them in all aspects of care, delivered with respect for cultural differences and human diversity.Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.Use resources effectively, including time, personnel, equipment, and supplies, to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care.Serve as a professional role model for all staff, demonstrating ethical, legal, and professional nursing practice.Manage resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs.Use care standards, hospital policies and procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice.Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.Precept and mentor new staff or nursing students as needed; seek out learning opportunities and continuing education.Seek experiences that reflect current practice to maintain skills and competence in clinical practice or role performance.Maintain professional records that provide evidence of competency and lifelong learning.Evaluate personal integrity and nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations; take action to achieve goals identified during the evaluation process.Client Details
