As a Lineman A2 you will build multiphase energized facilities. Experience required is fourth year second, six months. You will report to the crew Foreman. The work location for this position is inAbilene, TX.
What You'll Do
- Work on utility poles and fixtures on energized situations
- Demonstrate proper cover application, handling energized multiphase primary conductors and working around covered multiphase lines
- Frame transformer banks, rotate three phase secondary / services and troubleshoot overhead lines
- Read job prints and built to spec
- Follow safety performance requirements
- Complete tree trimming, multimeter operations, using line test equipment, cut-outs and reclosures, advanced rigging, line repair with rubber gloves and hot sticks
- Introduction to substation safety, capacitors and reactors, power transformers, URD troubleshooting and circuit breakers
- Complete required company training, including safety training
- Perform Administrative duties as required
- Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
