PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The National Weather Service (NWS) Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) Radar Operations Center (ROC) in Norman, Oklahoma, is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the NEXRAD radar network, which is essential for the U.S.'s weather monitoring and forecasting. The ROC provides 24/7 technical support, oversees upgrades, and collaborates with research institutions and government agencies to enhance radar technology. It also manages the dissemination of critical radar data used for weather forecasting and severe weather alerts, ensuring the continued accuracy and reliability of this vital national infrastructure.
Centuria Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Analyst to support the Budget Office for our government contract with the National Weather Service (NWS) Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) Radar Operations Center (ROC). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with inventory and property management, will ensure the accuracy of financial records, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making processes. This position requires a strong understanding of financial processes and excellent organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate records of all government facility assets, including tracking acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
· Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure all equipment and property are accounted for and in good condition. Address discrepancies and report findings to management.
· Implement and maintain property management procedures to ensure proper use, security, and maintenance of assets.
· Manage the lifecycle of facility assets, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal, ensuring compliance with federal property regulations.
· Prepare regular financial reports, including variance analysis, budget forecasts, and financial statements, to provide insights into budget performance.
· Maintain and update property databases and records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all inventory-related information.
· Assist in the preparation and coordination of property audits. Ensure all required documentation is accurate and readily available.
· Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required by management to support strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
· 5 years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, inventory management, or a related role.
· Experience with government contracts, particularly within a federal setting, is highly desirable.
· Basic understanding of financial principles and budgeting processes.
· Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
· Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
