Job Requirements:
- Must possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.
- Experience in implementing DoD specific IT policies, processes, and procedures with reference to their area of expertise
- Familiarity with DoD security requirements as applied to their subject matter expertise.
- A Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or equivalent work experience. Years of work experience may be substituted one for one with college years. Five or more years professional experience within the designated Subject Matter Expert (SME) area beyond BA/BS or equivalence (except where otherwise specifically noted)
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in an IT environment
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of working knowledge of large, complex IT environments;
Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert Specific
- Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management;
- Demonstrated excellence in planning, directing, and managing infrastructure IT projects and operations.
- Demonstrated successful working knowledge and supervision of employees of various labor categories and skills in infrastructure-related areas
- Knowledge of industry accepted standards and best practices related to infrastructure operations
- Must have experience in operating, and maintaining enterprise level infrastructure operations
- Must have experience in evaluating and establishing facility requirements
- Must have expert knowledge in translating high level functional and technical requirements for infrastructure based on interactions with the user community
- Must have working experience with modernizing and sustaining enterprise classified infrastructure
- Must have experience with base-lining infrastructure resources (floor space, power, cooling)
- Must have experience with facility capacity planning, including space, power, and HVAC
- Must have experience with dealing with all facets of operating a data center— floor space, air flow, power, cooling, ventilation, security, access, "green" design concepts, etc.
