Centurion is looking for a Business Development professional for a remote opportunity.
The Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities to successfully meet the client’s mission and objectives. The focus shall be on domestic customers and partners.
Overview:
- In cooperation with the Business Development Senior Director, develop and lead the formation of Business Development strategy.
- Ensure alignment with corporate strategy and values, leveraging core capabilities and product portfolio.
- Coordinate business development activities with the business development staff and leadership in line with the relevant internal Business Development Procedure.
- Develop plans for innovative and effective customer and/or partners engagement, prepare and present written documents and presentations for interaction with customers and/or partners. Actively engage with individuals at all levels of the customer’s and/or partners’ organization.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with both existing and prospective customers and/or partners to build a long-term international pipeline.
- Foster the creation of new customer relationships through strategic conversations to understand their organizational business objectives and goals. Listen and understand customer’s needs and requirements. Leverage knowledge to create attraction solutions and offering based on products and capabilities’ portfolio.
- Conduct independent market analysis and research and provide recommendation to adapt in-region strategy is applicable based on results.
- Develop and execute tailored capture strategies aimed at winning new business internationally. Work with, or in some instances act as, Capture Leads to develop bid-no bid recommendations.
- Lead the proposal process, including writing key documents such as the proposal’s executive summary and actively participating in proposal reviews.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or management is required.
- Experience in aerospace business development.
- Extensive knowledge of customers, programs, and technology.
- Willingness to conduct business travel as required for customer meetings.
- Embody a strong proactive bias towards action, particularly with effective customer meetings to identify and close business.
- Persistence in the relentless pursuit of new business and new customers.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
US Citizenship is required
