We are currently seeking a full-time Payroll Manager to join our payroll team. The role is entirely remote, although residing in the DMV area is required for monthly team meetings.
The Payroll Manager oversees the management, supervision, and coordination of all activities related to payroll. This includes processing and disbursing salaries and wages, handling payroll tax filings, resolving issues, improving processes, managing records, and providing customer service.
Qualifications
Manages, supervises, and coordinates all payroll-related activities in the processing and payment of salaries, wages, and related payroll tax filings, to include problem resolution, process improvement, records management, and customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 5 years related work experience in a mid-size company (5,000 plus employees)
- Two or more years supervisory experience
- Multi-state payroll, tax, and garnishment experience
- Working knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
- Working knowledge of automated payroll systems, Paycom required
- Advanced Excel
- Working knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
