MHM Solutions, a Centurion Health company, is proud to be the provider of healthcare staffing solutions to state agencies within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are currently seeking a PRN Orientation and Mobility Specialist to join our team at the Selinsgrove Center located in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
Pay Range $39-$41/hour
The Orientation and Mobility Specialist will assess clients functioning in areas such as vision, orientation, and mobility skills, cognition, and social and emotional concerns and work with them teaching independent living skills and techniques, make recommendations for and train usage of mobility devices and systems. The Orientation and Mobility Specialist will monitor clients’ progress and develop rehabilitation plans
A Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS), is a highly trained expert who specializes in working with individuals who are blind, low vision or who have functional visual limitations, and empowers them to achieve their life goals for education, employment, avocation and independence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in relevant field from accredited college or university
- Orientation and Mobility Specialist certification or eligible for certification
- Knowledge of developmental aspects of orientation and mobility as it related to those with mental illness.
