Pay Rate: $25.00 / hour
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Full-time Substance Use Disorder Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team at Maryland Correctional Institution - Hagerstown (MCI-H) located in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) employees support patients in their substance use and detoxification/ recovery process. They also lead recovery groups, build community and relationships.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) preferred
- One year or more of experience working closely with patients and connecting them to resources or an equivalent combination of work and education
- Experience working in corrections preferred
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
