What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Superintendent - High-rise position at Centurion Selection?
The General Superintendent will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of complex high-rise multifamily and condo projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day construction site operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, foremen, and field personnel.
- Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely completion.
- Monitor project costs and budgets to prevent overruns.
- Enforce safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve construction issues as they arise.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide updates and address concerns.
- Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality control standards.
- Train and mentor field staff to improve performance and efficiency.
- Manage equipment and materials to optimize resources and reduce waste.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Extensive experience in construction management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction scheduling software and project management tools.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and specifications.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred).
- 10 years of experience in construction supervision, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects (upwards of $100million) across various sectors (commercial, residential, mixed-use, etc.).
Salary : $225,000 - $250,000
