At Century A/C Supply, we specialize in providing high-quality HVAC solutions to licensed contractors, the multifamily sector, and commercial properties across our 13 Texas locations. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Purchasing department as an intern. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience in the procurement process and will support the purchasing team in various tasks, including data analysis, supplier research, and order processing.
This is a temporary, part-time position offering 20 hours a week and a flexible schedule to work around school hours.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares purchasing requisitions and documents
- Verifies purchasing orders and discrepancies with vendors and other internal departments (Accounts payable, Branch and Warehouse locations)
- Runs and analyzes purchasing reports
- Ensures materials, equipment, and supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner
- Effectively communicate with sales personnel and branch managers
- Special projects implementation
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Intermediate math skills and processing basic financial procedures i.e. addition subtraction, etc.
- Ability to analyze, summarize, and compile data
- Ability to clearly communicate (written and verbal)
