About the Role
As a Lead Estimator, you’ll play a vital leadership role in managing the repair process from disassembly through final delivery. You’ll ensure repair accuracy, quality control, and timely communication with technicians, CRs, insurance partners, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit repair orders and estimates for accuracy before dispatch
- Ensure complete disassembly and blueprinting in line with Century SOPs
- Verify, receive, and map all pre-ordered and incoming parts
- Perform quality control checks throughout the repair process
- Write and document supplements, notify carriers in a timely manner
- Use appropriate estimating software based on the assigned insurance carrier
- Support technicians with documentation, parts, and repair planning
- Verify proper part labeling and wiring identification
- Maintain daily updates on due dates, tech assignments, and repair status
- Perform final QC inspections, verify all documents and QC cards before delivery
- Photograph and document vehicle repairs for records and claims
- Communicate effectively with CRs and customers on repair status and authorizations
- Ensure all documentation is complete for billing
Ideal Candidate
- 3 years of estimating or team coordinator experience in a high-volume shop
- Proficient with CCC ONE or similar systems
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies and DRP expectations
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills
- Proven leadership and communication abilities
- Familiarity with OEM procedures and I-CAR best practices
