Job Summary
The Documentation Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing commercial loan documentation and Consumer TRID Construction LE, CD and closing loan documentation with a focus on accuracy, regulatory compliance, and internal policy alignment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and strong communication skills to coordinate with internal departments and external parties. The successful candidate will be proficient in LaserPro, Abrigo, Jack Henry, Synergy, and Wolters Kluwer, and will play a key role in supporting the Bank’s commercial lending process. Overtime may be required with appropriate notice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare consumer loan documents for closing utilizing the LaserPro system, ensuring compliance with credit approvals, consumer policies, TRID policy and applicable regulations.

- Verify that all loan conditions have been satisfied prior to documentation and funding.
- Coordinate with Relationship Managers (RMs) and Credit Review Analysts (CRAs) to obtain missing or corrected documentation.
- Identify and clear documentation discrepancies by collaborating with all relevant parties.
- Prepare final commercial and consumer loan documentation packages for funding, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of all commercial loan documentation in accordance with regulatory and audit requirements.
- Retrieve and deliver commercial loan documents as needed for audits, quality control, or departmental requests.
- Utilize Abrigo workflows to track documentation status and manage exception items through resolution.
- Use Jack Henry to verify data and confirm commercial loan balances as needed.
- Conduct UCC searches, track lien statuses, and file UCCs using Wolters Kluwer, ensuring proper lien perfection and compliance.
- Apply working knowledge of Regulation B to ensure proper handling of documentation and equal credit opportunity compliance.
- Assist with post-closing document review, exception clearing, and internal/external audit requests.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience preparing commercial loan documentation within a bank or financial institution.
- Proficiency in LaserPro, with working knowledge of Abrigo workflows, Jack Henry, Synergy, and Wolters Kluwer.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure documentation accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including professional interaction with internal teams and external partners.
- Flexibility to work overtime with appropriate notice during high-volume periods or deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Entity Structures (LLC, S and C Corporation, Partnership, Trust, Non -Profit)
- Familiarity with UCC requirements, lien perfection, and commercial collateral documentation.
- Experience with loan documentation audits or regulatory reviews.
- Working knowledge of federal and state lending regulations applicable to commercial and Consumer lending.
