Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Finance and Accounting Tech Stack Implementation and Optimization :
Meet with CAS teams to collect data and other information required to determine potential inefficiencies in accounting processesAssess the current state tech stack design for a client or industry and make recommendations to optimize accounting processesFinance and Accounting Tech Stack Administration and Support :
Provide support and administration of cloud-based accounting solutions - including but not limited to new account setups, user administration, and troubleshooting technical issuesIdentify common support questions and create help documentation to address recurring issuesParticipate in providing annual CAS technology training to the CAS practiceCreate training and other documentationBe involved in testing solutionsProject Management :
Create project plans, detailing the tasks that need to be completed for a successful data migration and technology implementationIdentify potential roadblocks or challenges; manage out of scope requestsTrack and report on key implementation progress metricsIdentify and document standard processes and proceduresCreate and track project budget, resources and timeline; ensure project is on time and within budgetStakeholder Management :
Build meaningful relationships with client-facing accounting teamsManage stakeholder expectations and maintain open lines of communication throughout the project management processPreferred Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting with a strong understanding of accounting principles, including close management.Experience using, implementing or supporting accounting software solutions related to close management and / or accounting workflow solutions, such as FloQast, Blackline, Vena, Planful, Adra or Keeper, as well as other general accounting software.Proficiency in established back-office accounting technology and the ability to troubleshoot and navigate applications fluentlyProject management experience and proficiency in relevant project management toolsHands-on experience with high-volume accounting solution implementations and third-party app integrationsStrong analytical skills and the ability to analyze dataAbility to provide alternative solutions to identified gaps, and create business and technical requirements documentationExpertise delivering projects using a 'best-practice' project delivery approachExpertise defining and managing project scope, project plans, milestones, dependencies, communication plans, project risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.Experience conducting test case evaluations and static testingAbility to multi-task, manage multiple projects at once, and adapt to changing / competing prioritiesAbility to manage and administer several cloud-based applications simultaneouslyExperience creating training documentation and rolling out new processesOutside the box thinking, utilizing best practices, leading projects with creativity, flexibility, and a sense of urgencyProfessional level of written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact and present to C-Level, clients and internal teams on an ongoing and timely basisWillingness to stay updated with evolving technologies and industry trendsProject Management Professional (PMP) CertificationPublic accounting firm experienceCertifications in general ledger, AP, AR, payroll or FP&A solutionsExperience tracking and managing project budgetsMinimum Qualifications Required
