Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager will be a pivotal driver of organizational success, responsible for cultivating a positive, high-performance work culture and enhancing employee engagement across the company. This role demands a proactive leader with deep expertise in benefits administration, employee relations, workers' compensation, HRIS systems, and OSHA compliance. The ideal candidate will not only ensure adherence to labor regulations but will also shape an environment where employees thrive, contributing to overall business growth and operational excellence.
Duties
- Manage the administration of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and other company-sponsored benefits.
- Oversee and manage payroll, EEOC, year-end compliance, and other federal and state requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all benefits-related regulations and manage open enrollment and employee education initiatives.
- Handles the FMLA leave administration process from the employee's initial notice of the need for leave to return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
- Manage workers' compensation claims, working with employees, managers, and insurance providers to ensure timely reporting and resolution of claims.
- Collaborate with talent acquisition team and managers to develop and implement a proactive strategy for recruitment and retention of employees.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, handling conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions in a fair and effective manner.
- Implement safety initiatives to reduce work-related injuries and promote workplace safety.
- Maintain accurate employee records using the company's HRIS, ensuring compliance with all record-keeping requirements.
- Leverage the HRIS to produce reports and analyze HR metrics, providing insights to guide decision-making.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.
- Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
