POSITION SUMMARY
Century Casino Cape Girardeau is seeking an ambitious leader to join our team as the Hospitality Supervisor at our world class casino on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Cape Girardeau. Successful candidates will excel at creating an atmosphere of superior customer service for our guests. The Hospitality Supervisor will assist the Food Operations Manager in the administration, operation, and direct management of the food outlets. This position is responsible for learning and communicating the various policies and procedures of the company that are required for the success of the Food/Restaurant department staff and operation. ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service
- Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Handle all guest challenges that arise and turn around guest challenges to exceed expectations, and create repeat clientele.
Management/Leadership
- Responsible for the supervision and performance of the banquet staff, coaching and counseling as needed to ensure exemplary service.
- Review staffing levels while maintaining and controlling costs on a daily basis reflective of business levels to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
- Forecasts needs based on customer counts or business forecast, previous experience, dates, and holidays to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained while controlling expenditures.
- Assists management in staff interviews, hiring, evaluations, coaching and counseling of staff to develop employees and build a cohesive team that will provide superior service to our guests.
Operations
- Oversees banquet set up including dining tables, buffet tables, and other event needs.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists and advise other departments and company personnel, as necessary, to assure the successful performance of the company overall.
Compliance
- Assists management with all sanitation laws and health regulations and applicable OSHA regulations to ensure outlet meets or exceeds said practices and requirements.
- Ensures the proper service of alcohol by following the current laws of the state and the policies of the company.
- Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental and Company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. with assistance.
- Must be able to move effectively and efficiently around the outlet floor so as to be able to observe and interact at all tables and areas of operation.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, twist, and kneel repeatedly in a short span of time.
Mental Demands:
- Must be able to observe and give appropriate feedback on the actions of staff and document if necessary any courses of action.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees through written and oral reporting.
- Must be able to analyze and interpret operation results, solve problems, perform duties under pressure and in an interruptive environment.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the outlet in the absence of the manager.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
- Must be able to work in a gaming environment with exposure to bright/flashing lights, crowds and above average noise levels.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field or one to three years relevant work experience required.
Knowledge:
- Sound technical understanding of manuals, policies, procedures, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate and supervise the work of others.
- Demonstrated knowledge of policies and procedures of a banquet operation.
Other:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming license.
- Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification.
- Must complete all required company training.
