What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Set Up Person On Call Varied Shifts position at Century Casinos Inc?
FUNCTION:
Responsible for completing set ups and breakdowns of banquet equipment, storing, and maintaining all satellite bars, carts, portable units, tables, chairs, stanchions, and other items or equipment required for the events.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up convention rooms, meeting rooms, special event areas, or Nugget Event Center as specified by Banquet Set-up Shift Leader or Banquet Manager and/or prospectus. Set up includes but is not limited to the displacement or dismantling of dance floors, setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, platforms, displays and coffee service areas.
- Transport any items as needed for functions, such as, but not limited to dance floors, tables, chairs, platforms, podiums, etc.
- Set-up as directed, buffet tables, including placement of skirting, tablecloths, etc.
- Ensure completeness of convention rooms and outdoor venues.
- Provide courteous and prompt service to any verbal request made by a guest.
- Replenish convention rooms as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments as needed to provide maximum service.
- Ensure that available equipment and convention service facilities are in excellent condition.
- Ensure that all convention service areas are maintained in a condition that is within company standards of acceptance with regards to sanitation and appearance.
- Use/move Nugget equipment in a careful manner, so as not to cause damage of any kind.
- Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond.”
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Always maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Banquet Shift Leader / Banquet Set Up Supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous Set Up or bus person experience preferred.

PHSYICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
