SUMMARY
Responsible for precise and proper mixing, controlling, dispensing, preparing and serving of a variety of beverages, liquors, beers and fine wines.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- An understanding of the POS System.
- Greet guests in a timely manner.
- Responsible for taking beverage orders from patrons and cocktail servers and serving drinks as requested.
- Responsible for observing guest alcohol consumption and enforcing company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
- Will maintain the cleanliness of coolers, bar equipment, glassware, decanters and any other service items associated with beverage service.
- Explain and sell all types of beverages to patrons by exceeding and anticipating patrons’ expectations.
- All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Beverage Manager then to the Director of F&B.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
- Prior bartending experience
- Knowledge of alcohol pairing and tastes, know how to make traditional and classic drinks.
- The knowledge of bar equipment, alcohol laws and regulations
- The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- You will need the ability to read, write and understand simple instruction.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- You will need to be available to work all shifts.
- The ability to work in a fast –paced environment and stressful situations.
- You must be at least 21 years old to work on the Gaming Floor. You must be 18 years old to work in the Mahogany Sports Bar
- You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. One year bartending experience is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
Helpful to be TIPS certified, if not training will be provided.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
You will need to be able to stand for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
