POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Heavy Duty Cleaner
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Sous Chef
FLSA: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. All employees are required to practice customer courtesy skills to ensure our guests are afforded a remarkable experience.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
- Responsible for moving heavy supplies and equipment as directed.
- Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the Kitchens, culinary areas, food set up and prep areas.
- Routine manual labor including but not limited to ware washing, mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, cleaning walls including foodservice equipment and the simple operation of it.
- Responsible for heavy duty and routine cleaning of ovens, scrubbing floors/ceilings /walls.
- Responsible for removing all trash and debris from equipment, floors, and trash cans depositing in dumpster.
- Assist with set-up and tear down of events and banquets.
- Clean and polish all stainless steel equipment/fixtures including hoods and filters
- Create a clean, safe, friendly and fun atmosphere for all guest and employees.
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental and Company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same.
- Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
- Bend 20% from waist
- Stand and walking 40%
- Lifting 20%(up to 50 lbs.) if over 50 lbs. with assistance
- Pulling 20% (up to 75lbs).
Mental Demands:
- Must be able to perform assigned job duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
- Must be able to work independently with little direction.
- Must be able to observe via senses of sight, hearing, touch, and smell to give appropriate feedback.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
- Must be able to work in a gaming environment with exposure to bright/flashing lights, crowds and above average noise levels.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Education:
- High School Education/GED preferred
- 1 or more years in a high volume kitchen producing over 300 covers a day
Knowledge:
- Safety and OSHA regulations
- Familiarity with upscale food & beverage operation
- Cleaning materials associated with a high volume food & beverage operation
Other:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming License.
- Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification relating to the position.
- Must complete all required company training.
