What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC & Refrigeration Engineer Fulltime Dayshift position at Century Casinos Inc?
FUNCTION:
Perform skilled technical work in the maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, controls and distribution systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, trouble shoot and repair heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units including chillers, boilers and heat pumps. Provide technical assistance as appropriate.
- Perform scheduled maintenance inspections, adjust clean and calibrate various systems to ensure proper system operations.
- Install, repair, troubleshoot coolers, freezers, milk boxes, ice machines, and other refrigeration equipment.
- Repair wiring and electronic components associated with automated building management systems.
- Replace expansion valves, compressors, motors, coil units and other component parts.
- Clean refrigerant systems from hermetic burnouts, evacuates and charges systems.
- Trouble shoot and repair direct digital and DDC control systems.
- Check distribution systems, balance air and water treatment systems.
- Provide technical assistance with the design of HVAC systems including installations and modifications to existing systems.
- Prepare records and reports describing procedures, actions taken and recommended solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, plans, sketches, blueprints, and procedure manuals
- Prepare and submits requests for supplies and equipment
- Respond to emergency service requests
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Five or more years of progressively responsible experience working with complex HVAC systems and equipment including chillers, boilers, package units, VAV systems (direct digital, pneumatic and automated control systems), heavy rigging, pipe and steel fabrication experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
HVAC/EPA current certification
Valid Nevada Driver’s License and clean 3-year DMV printout
OSHA 10 General Industry
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 75 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
