SUMMARY
Responsible for the safe operation and transport of vehicles on property in accordance with established policies, procedures, and controls.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists guests promptly and courteously with arrivals and departures.
- Presents a clean, neat and well-groomed appearance.
- Retrieves, stores and delivers guest luggage and packages
- Monitors the entrances and parking lots to maximize the guest flow and overall property ambiance.
- Opens doors and greets guest with a genuine smile, makes eye contact and provides a welcoming/farewell statement.
- Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
- Explains the amenities of the guest room as well as the features of the resort while functioning as a Bellman.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests and fellow employees of same, whenever possible.
- Transports guests to and from their cars when needed.
- Uses a company vehicle to transport team members and guests throughout the region as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Support Services Supervisor and then the Hotel Operations Supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
- The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- The ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations
- Proven experience providing high level of guest service
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- The ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
- The availability to work all shifts.
- The ability to work in a fast–paced environment and stressful situations.
- Must possess a valid US driver’s license (provisional license are unacceptable) as well as a good driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
- The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 50 lbs and push carts with 100 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
