SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation and direct supervision of assigned activities within the Marketing department. Oversee overall department and/or shift(s) as assigned. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or team member challenges.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assigned
- Ensures compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Develops and provides analysis on tactical promotion strategies.
- Plans and schedules entertainment for the property.
- Plans and coordinates support collateral for promotions and entertainment.
- Resolves problems, creatively, in player’s club.
- Resolves guest disputes involving complimentaries, collaborating with the Director of Marketing and Casino Hosts as needed.
- Attends marketing meetings as a source of knowledge concerning the participant of player’s club employees in upcoming promotions.
- Maintains an adequate stock of supplies for use in the player’s club booth, as well as player’s club related printed material, such as brochures, for the Casino.
- Assists in executing special property events for player development purposes.
- Assists with special events, including tournaments, parties, giveaways and entertainment.
- Assists in the strategic development, direction and implementation of all marketing activities, including database marketing and promotions.
- Prepares and presents detailed marketing reports, as needed.
- Maintains direct communication and interaction with casino management and employees ensuring the correct and timely delivery and follow-through of event procedures.
- Supervises the production of signage, collateral materials, video and photography products within the budget and time deadlines.
- Held accountable, to a high degree, for the thoroughness and accuracy of departmental records and reports. Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Manager and then the Director.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
- The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- Attention to detail required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to multitask preferred.
- Proven experience providing high level of guest service
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- The ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to interpret data from graphs
- The ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents
- The ability to write effective reports and memos
- Must respond to inquiries from employees or guests
- The availability to work all shifts.
- The ability to work in a fast–paced environment and stressful situations.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company, including gaming license through MLGCA.
- The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree plus two to three years related experience and/or training in creating and managing direct mail, email and telemarketing programs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 50 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
