FUNCTION:
With enthusiasm, greet guest warmly using the guests name if known. Escort guests to their table providing menus and informing them of their server’s name. Accept and process payments for meals in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet guests in a prompt, friendly, courteous, and professional manner, advise guest of wait times and take guests names as appropriate.
- Arrange guest reservations as appropriate in person and over the telephone.
- Seat all stations equitably assuring equal distribution of parties between servers.
- Maintain knowledge of property outlets, special events, upcoming concerts, and promotions.
- Answer phone in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Ensure knowledge of comp and coupon policies
- Assist with initial guest complaints and inform manager on duty.
- Ensure smooth transition at shift change, remaining on duty until relief is present.
- Process all payment transactions in a timely, accurate and efficient manner according to established procedures.
- Process and pay out server’s tips at the end of each shift according to tip out practices.
- Account for outstanding guest checks and transfer checks to next servers as directed.
- Offer a cordial farewell and thank guests for dining upon departure.
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
- Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Restaurant Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 6 months previous experience in a high-volume restaurant required.
Previous POS experience preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
