TECHNICIAN - NAIL

SUMMARY

Provide fingernail and toenail services to clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform a professional manicure, gel manicure, pedicure and paraffin treatments.
2. Provide cleaning, filling, painting, polishing, decorating and adding nail extensions to client’s fingernails and toenails.
3. Sterilize and sanitize all tools, equipment and polish caddy.
4. Maintain a clean work area.
5. Inform reception desk of extra charges.
6. Maintain manicure/pedicure tools in good repair, replace when necessary.
7. Clean and maintain paraffin machine, refill morning and night.
8. Report any supplies that need reordering to the Manager 
9. Refill towels.
10. Empty dirty linen 
11. Clean work station at end of shift.
12. Assist in special duties and assignments as required.
13. Actively participate in training program and perform all services accordingly.
14. Other duties as assigned.

REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to the Manager of Retail Operations then to the Director of Resort Operations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of cosmetology trends.
• Must have upper body mobility to include both hands to massage and perform repetitive motions.

• Strong creative ability and attention to detail

• Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. 
• Must exhibit a friendly and outgoing disposition at all times.
• The ability to work in a fast –paced environment and stressful situations.
• The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner. 
• You will need to be available to work all shifts. 
• Minimum of one year experience in a day spa or salon
• You must be at least 21 years old. 
• You also must be able to pass a background investigation, obtain and maintain a WV Racing License and West Virginia Cosmetologist License.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

West Virginia Cosmetologist License is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
