Summary
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's fleet of vehicles, including acquiring new vehicles, managing maintenance schedules, ensuring driver compliance, optimizing vehicle utilization, and monitoring costs to maintain efficient operations while adhering to safety regulations and legal requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet.
- Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles.
- Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed.
- Managing vehicle licensure and registration.
- Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training.
- Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to safety and proper driving practices.
- Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress.
- Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED; 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office, Word & Excel.
