Position Summary
The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving process optimization, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness across all functions. This role focuses on leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. This role will report to the Vice President of Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead initiatives to identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements across departments.
- Conduct in-depth process mapping, data analysis, and performance evaluations to identify inefficiencies.
- Develop solutions to improve workflows, reduce waste, and enhance value delivery.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor team members in continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Facilitate cross-functional improvement workshops, such as value stream mapping or problem-solving sessions.
- Manage and execute continuous improvement projects from concept to completion.
- Work with leadership and teams to implement and sustain changes to processes and practices.
- Communicate the value of continuous improvement initiatives to all levels of the organization.
- Provide training and resources to support team adoption of new processes.
- Ensure all process improvements comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- 5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or process improvement roles.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement principles and root cause analysis.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, or similar software).
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to engage and motivate teams.
